HE CAME! HE SAW!! HE CONQUERED!!!

Philip Olusola Ogunjinmi, came to this world on the 5 of September, 1958 as a blessing from God to the family of Pa Okelola and Madam Dorcas Segilola Ogunjinmi from the Sake’s compound of Jafu-Fiditi, Oyo State and unarguably, the entire people that met him in the course of his journey here on earth. He was the last born of a family of seven siblings.
He started his educational life at the famous Ebenezer Baptist Primary School, Fiditi and later proceeded to a reputable secondary school – Methodist Modern School also in Fiditi where he initially started and completed it at Ladigbolu Grammar School in Oyo town.
Mr. Olusola Ogunjinmi attended the Lagos State Polytechnic, for his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates in Banking and Finance. He bagged his Master’s degree from then Ondo State University rechristened, University of Ado and now Ekiti State University, Ekiti State.
He combined the educational activities with his work life which lasted for over twenty years. His work experience was entirely at Great Nigeria Insurance (GNI) Company. He resigned as Zonal Manager of the insurance company in Ado Ekiti to start his personal business while raising his bubbling young family.
A very loving husband, caring father and a devoted family member. He married his one and only wife, Mrs Elizabeth Omowunmi (Lawal) Ogunjinmi, about three decades ago. Their union was blessed with both male and female children, that are doing very well in their various sphere of life. He was also survived by a grand child.
As a father, he showed passionate interest in the academic pursuit and carrier of his children and never failed to shower them with love.
He was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Ado-Ekiti which he joined with his family in 1998. He served in various committees, including finance committee, building committee etc. He handled critical responsibilities for the church.
As a resident of the Ajilosun/Ajebandele community, his roles and engagement would be very well missed.
He loved and embraced peace, he also loved sports. A humble personality, moderate socialite. A gentle man ever ready to give his best to whatever course he was involved.
An incurable optimist, ever ready to give an advice with love and understanding when solicited. He’ll be missed by all.
Mr. Philip Olusola Ogunjinmi, you came, you saw and conquered. Your memory in our heart will linger for a long time in our heart.
